I normally take an 8N when wearing slip-ons but can use a regular 8 when there is an adjustable strap so that is what I ordered. Surprisingly the shoes were only a tad too wide and the adjustable buckle strap would handle that. The main problem was that my toes were actually scrunched up at the toe box, hitting the front of the shoe. The shoe bed is cushioned as you would expect with a Softspot shoe but there is very little arch support. I have high arches and did not expect full support but the arch support in these is practically non-existent. As I am accustomed to adding support, I have ordered an 8.5 as a replacement, so we shall see.
