they can work as women's. With the faux shearling lining and thicker socks in cool weather, you may prefer these. I'm a woman with large feet ((women's size 12 and in between medium and wide width) and men's 10.5-11) and I thought they looked large when I took them out of the box, but they were a roomy fit. I'll keep them, because they will be comfy and have the room to put thick socks on. There's not a lot of support on the insole, so if you have serious foot arches like me, I'd suggest getting a supportive insole to add (which I had ordered ahead of time, because of the flat look of the sole). Less feminine than I would have liked (I wear a lot of dresses), but they are nice boots that aren't too masculine for a lady to wear. They're also comfy and will be warm. Waterproof them, and they'd make great winter boots.
