I purchased these shoes to wear on a cruise with dress slacks, skirts, and dresses at dinner hour. I usually wear walking shoes with built in support or orthotics. Those shoes are heavier and I wanted something light weight instead. These Vionics worked very well and looked great with slacks, leggings, or skirts. They offered good arch support and were comfortable. However, I don't think they would be comfortable for long walks.
