This is my first pair of vionics and I ordered these mainly to wear around the house as I try to heal tendinitis in my outer ankle. I almost didn't order these because the wildly varying reviews screamed quality-control problems with the manufacturer, but the sale price, free returns, and cute design lured me in. I'm glad I took the chance. I've only taken these off to sleep this long holiday weekend!I wear a size 6.5 in most shoes, have a very high arch (I need custom orthotics from a podiatrist), and my feet are slightly wide at the ball though I usually don't need to order wide shoes. My feet are not at all pudgy (unlike the rest of me ?).After reading the reviews here, I ordered size 6 in teal. Like other reviewers who sized down, my heel hits the very back of the footbed and I have about an inch of space at the top of the footbed above the toes. Note to manufacturer: If the location of the toe post were moved up even 1/4 inch these would be perfect. Also, like another reviewer, my heel wants to twist off the footbed a bit when I walk but I have that problem with all slide-type shoes due to my high arches. I don't think it's a problem with this shoe in particular.Other than that, these shoes fit great right out of the box. I don't have any problem with the top band being too tight or the back strap being too loose. The arch support feels like it's in the correct place and I don't even notice the massaging bumps on the insoles.I've worn these in the house (on my feet all day cleaning the garage), to the grocery, and to walk the dog around the block and they feel really good. I don't think I'd wear them for longer walks though because the too-short footbed would likely irritate my heel after awhile. People new to really good arch support will probably want to break them in as instructed to avoid muscle pain as your feet and body adjust.I've just ordered a pair of Vionic workout shoes and can't wait to try them for walking and aerobics! This brand, Vionic, is the best ever! I struggled with severe Plantar Fasciitis for 8 months; was in a walking boot, both feet for 4 months; did laser treatments, cortisone shots, physical therapy, massage, you name it. Once out of the ortho. boot, I purchased Vionics. I had other good brand shoes such as Merrill and Clarks, however, they just didn't have the arch support. I now ONLY wear Vionics. I donated all my other shoes and continue to restock my shoe supply with only Vionics. I would HIGHLY recommend them. If you have never worn a Vionic, only wear for a few hours a day, until you adjust to them. Awesome shoes!By far, the best arch support in a sandal I have ever worn. I'd love to order more of your shoes, but they are expensive. How about a coupon? By the way, I bought a pair for my sister (Helen) as well and she loves them, too.Thanks.AMAZING SHOES!! I have a lot of foot problems. I can walk if I put these on in the morning. These sandals fit great and are very comfortable. Vionic is doing more and more to help women with foot problems feel more stylish.Just what I was looking for, compfy and fit perfect! Good price also.I love these sandals!!! The cloth goes between the toes, so soft and pretty.
