This is going to be an in depth review and there will be no tldr.Measurements for reference: 38 - 26 - 39. Am usually told by fitters i am a 36b (underbust 31) However, a 36 band is usually too big so i sister size into a 34c. Vicki's sizes and fits me in a 34d.First thing i would like to address is this bustier is fabricated using traditional +4 sizing. If your preferred bra band size is +2 or +0 you will have to size up in the band and size down in the cups accordingly. Cups run tts to me, maybe a hair on the full side but not enough for me to size down a cup. If the cups are very pointy for you, go down a cup size. If you have a tummy you may need to even size up one more band size up from that as well. However, if you are a true hourglass figure type then you may need to actually size down a band size!I have ordered and kept this bustier in 2 sizes: 34c and 32d. The 34c fits well in the bra portion, but was very big in the waist and a tad big in the hips. I kept it because it seemed snug enough and functional enough on the tightest hooks. This was not a great decision on my part as the bustier stretched a little from brand new after wearing it for a day. I took the chance and sized down to a 32d. It was a little bit of a mind hurdle as 32 band bras are waaaaaaaay too tight yet it fit perfectly! A tad tight on the bra portion, but not too tight and now the rest of the bodice actually fits without any bulging or loose material. Should also add the even in a 32 band size i can still hook this in front and twist around to the back without any issue.Iirc, dominique says that these bodices are meant to take the wearer in by a dress size. My measurements in and out of the bodice are the same so i remain doubtful of that claim. Nevertheless, this bustier provides amazing support and smoothes out my silhouette perfectly. Don't miss the straps at all and my back had been very happy as well. This fuctions just as well as any of my overbust corsets, but provides a more modern bust silhouette along with the ease of not having to mess with laces and having more flexibility in the bodice portion.Compared to other brands that make this type of torsolette, the band does run big but the waist and hip portion does not. I have tried the Va Bien brand, but found that the sizing in that brand didn't fit me at all. A 34c in that brand was waaay to small in the bra band portion while the rest of the bodice fit just like the 34 band in Dominique fit. I would have needed a 36a in Va Bien which is a size they don't make in their bustiers and would have just been hanging off of me from the ribs down. Va Bien cups run a size larger as well.Quality of the bustier is good. Garment definitely earns it's keep.Overall this is a quality garment and well worth the price even at msrp. I am currently testing the durability with daily wearings. Even if i end up going through 2 or 3 in a year i will still be quite a bit ahead of the cost of my corsets while getting all the benefits even with the bodice being more flexible. I rate this as a light squeeze where my corsets are never less than a moderate squeeze even when laced "loose". Have not experienced any decrease in my mobility compared to wearing a modern bra and panty. As long as i am not having to replace these every month i will continue to wear these bustiers as they are that perfect happy medium between a bra and a corset.Almost forgot! I have one big complaint that i will not be taking any stars off for: the garters. Not removing stars because nearly every bustier i have tried has the same problem: useless garters! First there are only 4 which is a joke for holding up stockings. Second, these are just stretchy flimsy bra straps. These are boudoir and thoroughly useless for anyone that wears real stockings. The only bustier i have ever found that's has real useful garters is What Katie Did where there are 6 thick restricted stretch garters with metal hardware. Otherwise, keep your Rago garterbelt for your stockings and ignore the joke that comes with this bodice.
