I wiped down boots immediately and wore them! I have now walked about six miles in them (2 mile clips) to make sure there was nothing uncomfortable. After second wearing, I oiled them with leather oil. They were softer after oiling (to be expected) although fit was not compromised. Boots are comfortable, warm and I was wearing them with socks (not tights). I suspect they will be fine with tights come the following winter.Weight of boot is perfect for me - not too heavy, zips easily. Hoping Born decides to have other boots of same shape/style with other leather colors - example: something lighter for spring.It took some time to break these boots in but I absolutely love then & wear them all the time!These boots are cheaply made. However, I must say the seller was terrific in accepting my return.
